Final Profession Ceremony of Sr. Ruth in Kenya:
An Occasion of Joy rather than fear, loss and hunger

The final profession ceremony and general celebration of Ruth's very special day went off really well.

Close to a 1,000 people were present and when it came to sharing food the number were rapidly increased as the additional 'guests' came from nearby to join in the celebration.

Ruth’s family and in deed many people suffered great loss, so her final profession ceremony was like a resurrection event, even the bishop who offered every moment of his day was delighted, being with the people to share Joy rather than fears, losses and hunger.

Ruth's families rose magnificently to the occasion and were really proud of their gracious daughter, who surrendered herself totally to our God who loved her first and called her to share that love with all God’s people.

Ann and Pauline went a few days before the ceremony to be with Ruth. It was also an occasion for vocation promotion.

Congratulations, Sister Ruth!

Let her photos tell her stories
